  • Sir Handel: Oh, yes.
  • Michael Angelis: Huffed Sir Handel.
  • Sir Handel: Freddie was the fastest engine on the hills.
  • Michael Angelis: Suddenly, Rheneas and Skarloey raced into the yards.
  • Skarloey: I'm the winner!
  • Michael Angelis: Peeped Skarloey.
  • Rheneas: No, I am!
  • Michael Angelis: Wheeshed Rheneas.
  • Freddie: Who are you?
  • Michael Angelis: Chuffed Freddie.
  • Skarloey: We're the fastest engines in the hills.
  • Freddie: I'll show you who's fastest.
  • Michael Angelis: Tooted Freddie.
  • Freddie: I'll race you down the mountain.
  • Michael Angelis: Rheneas and Skarloey like to race. They steamed off excitedly. Freddie was determined to win. Freddie huffed and puffed up the mountain.
  • Freddie: Flatten my funnel.
  • Michael Angelis: He wheeshed.
  • Freddie: I used to be able to chuff up here in no time.
  • Michael Angelis: Rheneas and Skarloey were waiting to start the race.
  • Freddie: If I get to the bottom without you bumping my buffers, I won.
  • Michael Angelis: Wheeshed Freddie.
  • Rheneas: All right, Fearless Freddie.
  • Michael Brandon: Tooted Rheneas.
  • Rheneas: Ready, steady...
  • Skarloey: GO!
  • Michael Angelis: Whistled Skarloey. Freddie raced along. Rheneas and Skarloey tried to catch up with him, but Freddie was racing very fast until he began to run out of puff.
  • Freddie: Oh, no. Those young engines were will bump my buffers.
  • Michael Angelis: He chuffed sadly. Suddenly, he remembered an old track.
  • Freddie: The old rocky way.
  • Michael Angelis: He wheeshed.
  • Freddie: No one will remember that one.
  • Michael Angelis: Rheneas and Skarloey didn't see Freddie go a different way.
  • Freddie: This way's much quicker.
  • Michael Angelis: Huffed Freddie.
  • Freddie: I'll be at the bottom in no time.
  • Michael Angelis: Freddie rejoined the main track. Soon, Freddie was at the bottom of the hill.
  • Freddie: I did it!
  • Michael Angelis: Huffed Freddie.
  • Freddie: Those young engines couldn't catch me.
  • Rheneas: You're so fast.
  • Michael Angelis: Wheeshed Rheneas.
  • Skarloey: Race you again.
  • Michael Angelis: Chuffed Skarloey.
  • Skarloey: Please?
  • Freddie: Of course.
  • Michael Angelis: Tooted Freddie.
  • Freddie: Fearless Freddie never says no to a race. (chuckles)
  • Michael Angelis: In no time, the little engines were ready to race again.
  • Rheneas: We'll race you down the other side this time.
  • Michael Angelis: Puffed Rheneas.
  • Freddie: The other side of the mountain is very steep.
  • Michael Angelis: Wheeshed Freddie.
  • Skarloey: You're not scared, are you?
  • Michael Angelis: Peeped Skarloey.
  • Freddie: Of course not. I'm Fearless Freddie.
  • Michael Angelis: Chuffed Freddie.
  • Freddie: Off we go!
  • Michael Angelis: Freddie raced ahead at the other engines. Soon, he began to run out of puff again. But Freddie didn't want to lose. Then, Freddie remembered another old track.
  • Freddie: The cracky track.
  • Michael Angelis: Huffed Freddie.
  • Freddie: I know this railway like the back on my buffers.
  • Michael Angelis: And soon, he arrived at the bottom safe and sound. But Rheneas and Skarloey weren't safe and sound at all. The track was very steep. Rheneas and Skarloey were determined to puff Freddie's buffers, so they were racing very fast.
  • Skarloey: Faster!
  • Michael Angelis: Wheeshed Skarloey. Then, there was trouble. Rheneas raced right off the track.
  • Skarloey: Oh, no!
  • Michael Angelis: Cried Skarloey. Freddie was waiting at the bottom of the mountain. He was very pleased with himself. Suddenly, Skarloey raced in.
  • Skarloey: Rheneas has come off the track!
  • Michael Angelis: Skarloey cried.
  • Skarloey: And I don't know where he is. We were really tried to catch you, Fearless Freddie, but you were too fast.
  • Michael Angelis: Sir Handel arrived with the Thin Controller. He had heard what it happened to Rheneas.
  • Freddie: It's all my fault, sir.
  • Michael Angelis: Chuffed Freddie sadly.
  • Freddie: I used old tracks.
  • Skarloey: You tricked us.
  • Michael Angelis: Tooted Skarloey.
  • Skarloey: And now Rheneas is lost and in trouble.
  • Freddie: No, he isn't.
  • Michael Angelis: Whistled Freddie loudly.
  • Freddie: I can find him. I know all the old tracks. Please, sir, follow me.
  • Michael Angelis: Freddie led the rescue party along another forgotten track. The track ran down to the valley. And there was Rheneas.
  • Rheneas: I'm so happy you found me.
  • Michael Angelis: Peeped Rheneas.
  • Freddie: So am I. (chuckles)
  • Michael Angelis: Chuffed Freddie. In no time, Rheneas was back on the track. And all the engines puff back to the Transfer Yards.
  • Freddie: I'm sorry I tricked you.
  • Michael Angelis: Puffed Freddie.
  • Freddie: You're much faster engines than me.
  • Rheneas: But you know all the old tracks.
  • Michael Angelis: Peeped Rheneas.
  • Rheneas: Please tell us about them.
  • Michael Angelis: So Freddie began to tell the young engines tales from the old tracks. Everyone was happy Fearless Freddie was back.
