"The Hooley Dooleys" was the firstHooley Dooleys video. It was released in 1997. It is also a DVD release with Ready, Set... Go! in 2003. The self-titled video is all about everyone coming over to The Hooley Dooleys house and meeting Hooley Dooleys for the first time. Everyone can play music, dancing and singing Hooley Dooleys songs and their friends Russell the Muscley Kangaroo and Tickle the Doodat. The video was filmed from 1996-1997.

- This is the first out of two Hooley Dooleys videos to end in the Roadshow Entertainment logo and was the only video to use the 1993-1997 ABC For Kids promo.
- This is the only Hooley Dooleys video in which Tickle wasn't voiced by Kristen Butts but was voiced by Fiona Wyllie instead.
- David, Bruce and Antoine are wearing plain T-shirts. Bruce is wearing a yellow T-shirt, David is a blue T-shirt and Antoine is a red T-shirt. The next video Ready, Set... Go! will have something on their T-shirts.
- This is the only Hooley Dooleys video in which Bruce is not wearing a hat. Although he is seen wearing one on the front cover
